Situated in the heart of Antwerp on Henri Van Heurckstraat, the Leopold complex is a modern fusion of 94 apartments and 8 homes, complemented by extensive underground parking and meticulously landscaped green zones, showcasing a blend of natural stone, white crepie, and contemporary design elements.

Location: The Leopold residential complex is strategically located in the heart of Antwerp, offering a prime address on Henri Van Heurckstraat 9-23.

Floors: The Leopold complex boasts 94 apartments and 8 homes, complemented by an extensive underground parking area spanning three levels.

Design and Architecture: Entrusted to the renowned architectural firm Styfhals & Partners nv, the Leopold project seamlessly integrates modern living with functional design. The exterior showcases a natural stone base, with upper sections featuring a crepie facade. Prefab concrete panels in a pristine white shade further enhance the street-facing side, harmonizing with the white crepie.

Facilities: Residents and visitors are greeted with a meticulously landscaped green zone within the complex’s inner domain. Additionally, the buildings are equipped with green roofs, promoting sustainability. The underground parking on the first level is exclusively reserved for apartment residents, while the lower two levels are commercially operated. Advanced safety measures, including a sprinkler system and a smoke and heat extraction system (RWA), are in place for all underground levels.

Appearance: The Leopold complex stands out with its blend of natural stone, white crepie, and prefab elements. Numerous terraces, both prefab and recessed, add to its architectural appeal.

History and Future: The construction of the Leopold complex posed significant logistical challenges due to space constraints. The entire construction site was initially occupied, necessitating the demolition of existing structures. The excavation for the project reached a depth of -9m50. Material transportation was managed through a narrow 5.5m wide street, with neighboring buildings, including the notable Arenbergschouwburg, being supported and underpinned to ensure stability.
